Earlier this week, a group of cadets from nearby West Point Military Academy toured our Haverstraw and Tompkins Cove Quarries to learn about local geology, the history of quarrying in the area, how we manage our quarrying operations and how and where our stone is used.

Cadets were accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Joe Henderson, Assistant Professor at West Point. Tilcon operations staff were on hand at both quarries to host the visit and share their knowledge.

The students greatly enjoyed their visit and hope to return some time in the future.

Tilcon has hosted cadet tours on several occasions in the past and is always happy to welcome visitors from the Academy.
