Public Relations Awards

NSSGA (National Stone, Sand and Gravel Association) Excellence in Community Relations

The NSSGA recently announced its Excellence in Community Relations award winners for 2007. The winners will be honored in March 2008 during the NSSGA's Annual Convention in Las Vegas.

The awards program recognizes aggregate producers whose community involvement and support activities have enhanced the public's perception of the aggregates industry in general and the public image of the individual producer's aggregate operation in particular.

Tilcon will receive the Silver Award for Clinton Point Quarry, Mt Hope Quarry, Pompton Lakes Quarry and Riverdale Quarry.

MarCom Creative Awards

This is an international competition honoring marketing and communication professionals. Awards are given in the areas of graphic design, publicity, marketing materials, writing, corporate communications and audio materials.

We are proud to report that Tilcon won a Platinum Award for our new series of branding advertisements. Our staff newsletter The Tilcon Times took Gold Awards in two categories - Employee Publication/Internal Newsletter and Employee Publication/Internal Magazine. Our Rockland County public relations ad campaign won a Gold Award for Ads/Advertising Campaign.

The Communicator Awards

These awards honor creative excellence in print media. They are open to all companies involved in producing print communication materials for external or internal audiences. The Tilcon Times received an honorable mention in two categories - Newsletter/Corporate and Newsletter/Overall Design.
