Rt. 78 Greenwich to Pohatcong, NJ is a heavy truck traffic route.
The project, on behalf of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, involved laying a total of 154,000 tons of superpave and Marshall mix asphalt. The project was completed in June 2009.
The project included stabilizing the existing concrete highway with pressure grouting, crack stitching and doweling the concrete slab joints, excavating several areas of deteriorated concrete slabs, miles of new drainage and pipe cleaning, as well as miles of new guard rail.
The project, which can also be seen in our Photo Gallery, was the recipient of a 2009 NAPA Quality in Construction Award.
